| Paulino is headed to Houston, where he'll begin a rehab-and-conditioning program with the club's athletic training staff. Paulino has made little progress since he was shut down during spring training with a pinched nerve in his right arm. He was cleared to start throwing about a month ago, but he recently suffered another setback and has been restricted to nothing more than light tossing. |

| Rodriguez left the Astros' game against the St. Louis Cardinals because of a strained right oblique Sunday. Rodriguez didn't allow a run in 5 2-3 innings in the game, allowing seven hits. He struck out four without a walk. Club officials said he was day-to-day. |
